On this 2 hour walking tour around the financial city of the world that is London, you will learn about the coffee and tea houses of the 1600s that led to London becoming the global centre of banking and insurance.
Coffee and tea led the way and then stocks, shares and insurance followed in their footsteps. See the locations that were the very first coffee shops in London where all the trade and commerce started and led to the City of London becoming the financial centre of the world.
We meet at the Royal Exchange, by Bank station, the station named after the Bank of England. You will see and hear about the Royal Exchange - the first commerce building in the city, the coffee shops, the first stock market and the big bang that revolutionised the financial world in the 1980s.
