About the event
The second great fire of London was the name given to enemy action when London was bombed during WW2. This two hour walking tour will take you through the history of those dark nights and scary days of 1940 and 1941 the two main years of the Blitz.
You will see the areas that were raised to the ground and those ruins that are still here in the City. Relive the steps that people took to protect their livelihoods and homes, the work of the Volunteer Fire Watchers who stopped the Iconic buildings of London succumbing to the blitz and see those buildings that were erected on the bomb sites that are now the new iconic buildings in modern London.
